HISTORY
After working in the insurance industry doing Property & Casuality Insurance for 3 years, Adam found his passion in Group Benefits, Pension, RRSP’s and Life Insurance. Being mentored by his father Kerry Short of Kerry P. Short Insurance who had 50 years in the business, has given Adam the tools and skills to venture out on his own, opening Adam K. Short Insurance Agency Ltd. in January 2017.
After 5 years of running a successful business Adam was granted the opportunity to take over the operations of Kerry P. Short Insurance in 2022 when Kerry stepped into a semi-retirement role.
With 10 years in the industry and 40 years of a family run business Adam K. Short Insurance is an expert in brokering Employee Benefits, administering Pensions and RRSP’s and writing Life Insurances for his clients.

MEET THE TEAM
Before Adam started in insurance, he was a successful member of the PGA Tour Canada for over 10 years, touring as a professional golfer. His hard work and perseverance gave him the opportunity to play in two Canadian Opens on the PGA Tour, as well as numerous tournaments all over the world including stops in Europe, Central and South America and South Africa.
Adam has used the skills from playing professional golf, paired it with his University Education and his business experience to become a trusted/valued asset to many companies and clients for their insurance needs.
When Adam is not working you can catch him riding the dirt trails, hiking mountains/ trails around North America, playing a round of golf or spending time with his children and loved ones.

Amanda came to us with 12 plus years as an administrative assistant in a variety of roles. She has brought the skills and talents she has learned over the years to her role here at Adam K. Short Insurance Agency.
When she is not working, you can find Amanda reading, baking, catching up with friends over a coffee, watching her nephews play a variety of sports or spending time with her family.
